What are contraindications of ergometrine?
Ergometrine is contraindicated in patients with peripheral vascular disease or heart disease and in patients with hypertension or a history of hypertension. Ergometrine is contraindicated where impaired hepatic or renal function exists. In patients with calcium deficiency, the uterus may not respond to ergometrine.
