Will L plates damage paint?

How do you keep magnetic L plates on your car?
The plates vary in quality, the best magnetic ones have the entire back surface magnetised rather than just round the edges. If you stick them on with tape it won’t do any harm so long as you change the tape every week or two and remove any sticky residue.
Is it illegal to have L plates if your not a learner?
Driving with L plates when not a learner it is not illegal to keep them on, but you could get pulled over by the police who may ask you to remove them. If you’re a new driver, you may use the green probationary P plates instead to let other road users that you’ve just passed your test.

If it is a milky appearance as if water or moisture was trapped underneath, then try heating the area up with a heat gun or hair dryer- just be sure to keep your hand on the paint in the area- if it is too hot for your hand then you are overheating the spot.
