Is ironmaster a good brand?
At heavier weights for things like rows and really heavy presses, Ironmasters are the best I’ve used as far as adjustable dumbbells go. They feel the most like a traditional dumbbell and the knurling, although not perfect, is a nice touch for a dumbbell. In fact, I’m not the only one that likes Ironmasters.

Can you drop ironmaster dumbbells?

Are adjustable weights worth it?
Adjustable DBs: Cost less and take up less space; but they do require some amount of time to adjust when needed and are somewhat less durable. Fixed DBs: Cost significantly more and take up a lot more space; but they are very durable and extremely convenient (i.e. just pick it up and lift; no time needed to adjust)

Ron, Ironmaster products are made in the USA. All the more reason to love the product! I stand by my review of the Ironmaster Adjustable Dumbells and believe them to be the best on the market for many reasons. Mostly for stability, but also because they are space saving, durable, and very well designed.

Each handles weigh 5 lbs empty and 10 lbs with the two locking screws. To determine the weight of your dumbbell, simply count the weight plates on one end of the dumbbell and multiply by the plate weights.
