What can I make with Buckyballs?
Buckyballs Pyramid
- use your buckyballs to form a single strand of balls.
- Break off nine magnetic balls, and attach the two ends to form a ring.
- Transform the ring into a triangle.
- Repeat Steps 2 through 3 until you have 16 triangles total.
- Select four triangles, and snap them together to form a larger triangle.
What can you do with Magnet balls?
Magnet balls are intended to be used as recreational and stress reliving toys for adults. They have been manufactured and sold under many names including “Buckyballs” and “Zen Magnets”. Magnet balls fall into a similar toy grouping as products like fidget spinners and stress balls.
How do you make a cube Bucky Ball?
Step 1 – Pull all 125 of your Buckyballs into a straight line. Step 2 – Count 25 ball in and fold so that each ball lines up perfectly with it’s neighbor. Step 3 – Now turn the chain the other way and zip it down again. Do it 2 more times, and the shape you’re left with is a sheet of Buckyballs 5 x 25.
How do you make a Speks pyramid?
the speks pyramid step-by-step:
- Wrap your speks around a ring of 6 until you make a hexagon with 3 speks per side.
- Interlock speks around your hex until you have a triangle with 11 spek x 2 spek sides.
- Repeat steps 1-2 making each long side smaller by 1 spek each time.
What is a buckyball molecule?
Buckyballs are the rule-breakers of chemistry. These strange molecules are made up of 60 carbon atoms, fused together in a soccer-ball shape. For years, scientists assumed they could only be made in the lab, until astronomers found them bopping around in deep space in 2010.
How do you make a shape with a magnetic ball?
Step-by-step instructions
- Shape 6 spheres into a circle.
- Grasp the circle in two places and squeeze to create a triangle.
- Put together 20 of these triangles.
- Combine 10 of these triangles as depicted and repeat with the remaining triangles.
- Connect the two formations.
- Carefully shape everything into a ball (see video).
Who invented magnetic ball?
Buckminster “Bucky” Fuller is best known for creating the geodesic dome. He held 28 patents and wrote 28 books on a wide range of subjects. His estate sued Maxfield & Oberton Holdings in Federal Court over “Buckyballs,” sets of 216 rare earth magnets arranged in a cube, which can be rearranged into other shapes.
How do you use buckyballs?
Combining buckyballs, nanotubes, and polymers to produce inexpensive solar cells that can be formed by simply painting a surface. Buckyballs may be used to store hydrogen, possibly as a fuel tank for fuel cell powered cars. Buckyballs may be able to reduce the growth of bacteria in pipes and membranes in water systems.

- Create a tube of eight 60-spek hex sheets with 4 extra per sheet stacked.
- With the speks splitter card, slice the outer layer.
- Next start folding your sheet 8 rows in.
- Continue folding the sheet back and forth every 8 rows until the cube is complete.
- The end.
How are Speks made?
Speks are made from the rare earth element, neodymium along with some iron and boron. First they’re shaped into 2.5mm spheres, then they’re coated with a metal plating or polymer paint, and finally they go through the magnetizer. It’s cool – one minute they’re just ball bearings and the next they’re magnets.
