How old do you have to be to go skydiving? The minimum age for tandem skydiving is 16 years old. If you’re aged between 16 and 18, you’ll need the signed consent of a parent or legal guardian. There is no maximum age to go skydiving.

In fact, you can technically make a jump with your own rig the very first time you leave the plane–on jump number 1 on theAFF (Accelerated Freefall) Program. This jump necessarily includes buddies–specifically, two licensed, qualified instructors flying alongside you in freefall.
