What is WinISD?
WinISD is a freeware program that allows one to use driver specifications to model how this driver will act in a specific alignment [sealed, ported, passive radiator etc..)] given a certain volume and/or port size. Differing drivers have different specifications requiring variations in box and/or port design.

WinISD is a free, relatively full featured bass response modeling program. It is very popular due to price, flexibility and (after a short learning curve) ease of use.
What is the VAS of a speaker?
Vas represents the volume of air that when compressed [by a piston of the same diameter as the speaker] exerts the same force as the compliance (Cms) of the suspension in a particular speaker.
How do I install a driver in WinISD?
Entering new driver data is a little tricky in WinISD pro. As the numbers are calculated, if you simply enter in all the parameters as shown in the data sheet, it won’t work….
- First enter mms and cms then click in fs which will then be calculated.
- Enter sd, bl and re.
- Enter Rms or Qms.
- Enter xmax and PE.

What is PE parameter?
Pe: This is the thermal capacity of the subwoofer. Using the driver at higher ratings can cause damage and failure to occur. It is measured in watts. Pt: This is the thermal power handling of the subwoofer and is typically the recommended RMS rating of the subwoofer measured in watts.
What is VAS subwoofer?
Vas is the equivalent compliance (inverse of stiffness) volume seen by a given diameter speaker cone, meaning the volume of box air that gives the same stiffness as the driver’s suspension.
What is QTC speaker parameter?
Qtc is the total Q of the speaker in an enclosure including all system resistances. A Qtc of . 707 is the most common and generally produces the flattest frequency response with approximately a 12dB/octave rolloff. Higher values of Qtc will give a peak in the output with a sharper rolloff.
How do you calculate VAS on a speaker?

What is quasi Butterworth?
