Harvard Model Congress is the largest congressional simulation conference in the world run entirely by undergraduates at Harvard College. Founded in 1986, our nonprofit organization is dedicated to teaching and inspiring the leaders of tomorrow.
What should I wear to Harvard Model Congress?
The dress code for PMC is professional business attire — you should wear what a US Representative or Senator wears to work. Young men should wear collared shirt, jackets, and ties (no hats!). Young women should dress in suits, or blouses with pants or long skirts, or formal dresses.
How does Model Congress work?
Model Congress is an opportunity for students to engage with American government through roleplay simulation of the United States Congress. This allows students to develop a better understanding of government function and become more informed about current political issues.
Is Model Congress the same as Model UN?
Model Congress is similar to Model UN in that students participate in a mockup of real governmental proceedings and discuss real political and social issues. However, unlike Model UN, Model Congress focuses on the government and issues of the United States instead of the international community.

How long is Harvard Model Congress?

The Model Congress concludes with an awards ceremony at which the top delegates receive scholarships covering as much as full tuition for four years at American International College. Since 1940, nearly 14,000 high school students have participated in American International College’s Model Congress.
