Does Fido send e transfers?
Fido does not send e-transfer to customers, the text you got was a spam text, you can get more info here including ways to report it to Fido.
Is Fido giving money back?
Firstly, Fido won’t refund by sending etransfers or request credit card information via email or text message link. If you are indeed overcharged, Fido will simply credit your account. In addition, if Fido does send legitimate SMS, it will come from one of their short codes, not a phone number.

What happened to my Fido dollars?
Unfortunately, the Fido Dollars program has ended. Fido started phasing out the program for prepaid customers in late 2015, if I remember correctly. You should have received communication in early 2016 that the program was ending in its entirety July 6, 2018 (see here).

How do I report spam texts to Fido?
You can send any spam SMS you receive to 7726 (SPAM). This will submit the message to be audited and then blocked from the Fido network. This can be easily done on most devices by pressing and holding the body of the message, then press the forward button and send to 7726.

How Fast Is Fido data?
Most devices today support download speeds of 150 – 350 Mbps under good WiFi conditions and a compatible internet package. Use a direct connection or reduce WiFi signal interference if possible. Connect your computer to your Fido modem using an Ethernet cable for a direct connection if possible.
Is Fido owned by Rogers?
Although Fido is owned by Rogers, its is a seperate entity of the business. For Rogers to keep its claim as having the fastest LTE speed, it has to keep Fido’s at a lower speed than its own.
