What does a shell tumbler do?
A reloading tumbler is a device used to spin or jostle used brass casings along with a cleaning agent and media in order to remove contaminants. Tumblers clean casings and prep your brass for the reloading process.
How long should I wet tumble brass?
All you need is some water, some Dawn dishwashing detergent and some Lemishine. I dumped the brass in the drum, added a gallon of water, a couple squirts of Dawn dish detergent and a ¼ teaspoon of Lemishine. Then you seal it up good and tight and start tumbling it. I let it run for 4 hours.

How much media is in a tumbler?
Typically, it is recommended that the tumbler barrel be filled to 2/3 to ¾ full. After you have your rocks and grit in the barrel, use ceramic tumbling media to fill it up to the recommended fill level of 2/3 to ¾. Then add your water to cover all of it.
