Is Bluff Point free?
The best times to visit this trail are April through October. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. Bluff Point State Park charges an entrance fee for out-of-state registered vehicles. How long is Bluff Point Walk?
The most common hike as Bluff Point is out to the beach and back on the wide old farm road which is 1.3 miles and takes 30 minutes one way. The trail follows the Poquonnock River nearly the entire way with shallow marshy views and the Groton Airport across the water.

Can you hunt at Bluff Point?
No person shall hunt at Bluff Point Coastal Reserve except for deer pursuant to an authorization lawfully obtained from the Commissioner under this section of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies.

Barn Island Wildlife Management Area is pet-friendly. This natural area is home to lots of trails, water and sunrise views. Popular activities include bird-watching, hiking, deer hunting and fishing. Leashed dogs are welcome on the trails, as long as you clean up any mess that they leave behind.
