How long does Plasti Dip last on a car?

If properly applied, Plasti Dip® could last as long as 3 years without having to be retouched. It is very durable and will not lose it’s bond. The spray distance when applying as well as the amount of coats applied will heavily determine the longevity of the product.
Can you mix Plasti Dip colors?
Mixing different colors of Plasti Dip protective coating can be done to achieve other colors. Your local hardware, home center, or paint store may also sell tubes of tinting colors. Add approximately 1/3 of a 1 oz. tube per 14.5 oz.
Can you layer Plasti Dip?
Yes you can, but make sure you have a nice, thick coat of Plasti Dip before attempting to paint over it.

Can you put a clear coat over Plasti Dip?
Ive successfully used Plastidip on its own. Ive successfully the Acrylic Clear over an Enamel paint. Ive successfully used the Enamel paint directly over the Plastidip with great results (and even using the clear on top of that). But every time I use the Acrylic clear directly over Plastidip, it comes out botched.
How long before Plasti Dip dries?
DRYING TIME When dipping allow 24 hours to cure fully. If spraying with aerosols or paint gun then allow 10 – 15 minutes between coats at 14 – 18 degrees Celsius and apply a minimum of 5 coats on your project. If cooler temperature then increase drying time between coats. Then allow 24 hours to fully cure.
