What filter is in the Juwel Rio 180?

Proven a million times over: Bioflow M / Filter System For optimum filtering, the RIO 180 LED is fitted with a high-performance Bioflow M. This internal filter combines efficiency with safety and forms the centrepiece of any JUWEL aquarium.
How long do Juwel Aquariums last?
Juwel tanks are leading products on the market, with the company seemingly producing some of the most resilient aquariums available. With proper care and maintenance, a Juwel aquarium should last at least 20 years and counting.
How long do Juwel LED lights last?
The T8 fluorescent tubes should be replaced every 10 to 12 months, to ensure the tubes’ luminosity. The HiLite T5 fluorescent tube should also be replaced every 10 to 12 months, with the exception of the HiLite Marine and the HiLite Blue. Those two models should be replaced more frequently, every 6 to 8 months.
Why won’t my Juwel aquarium lights work?
The most common reason for a Juwel light unit to stop working is because one or both of the fluorescent tubes have blown. Try replacing these first. Faulty plug sockets and extensions are another big problem.
How often should I change my Juwel filters?
We recommend changing JUWEL Cirax every 12 months. JUWEL Phorax is a highly effective filter medium used to break down phosphates in your aquarium. This effectively reduces the growth of algae and can contribute to improved plant growth. Change JUWEL Phorax every 2 weeks.
How can I make my Juwel filter better?
Place a filter wool pad ontop of the new biological filrer material, then place a Juwel sponge ontop. You will still space enough to place yet another juwel filter sponge ontop. This will further increase the amount of bio filter material.
How thick should my acrylic tank be?
If you want a 0-12 inches high fish tank, the thickness of the sheets should be ¼ inches. For 13-19 inches height, the acrylic glass should be ⅜ inches thick. For a 20-24 inches aquarium, the thickness of plexiglass should be ½ inches.
