Do enchantments untap?
Enchanted permanent doesn’t untap during its controller’s untap step and its activated abilities can’t be activated. (At the beginning of your upkeep, put an age counter on this permanent, then sacrifice it unless you pay its upkeep cost for each age counter on it.)

Can you enchant a tapped creature?
Nope, you can enchant a tapped creature just fine. If it said “enchant untapped creature”, it would have to be an untapped one, but you can enchant a tapped one. When the ability triggers and tries to tap the creature, the game sees that it’s already tapped and goes “Oh well, never mind”.
Is untap affected by summoning sickness?
This rule is informally called the “summoning sickness” rule. If you have a way of tapping, summoning sickness does not affect whether you can untap the creature to use it’s ability. It only states that it cannot attack or tap to activate it’s ability.
Does untap require haste?
Generally speaking, temporary change of control effects will untap a permanent that changes controllers and give it haste, while effects that are permanent will not. For example; Act of Treason causes the targeted creature to change controller until the end of the turn only.
Can I choose to not untap a creature?
You do not get to choose whether or not to keep a permanent tapped during the Untap Step of the Beginning Phase unless a specific card’s ability provides that choice. For example, Rubinia Soulsinger lets you choose not to untap her during your untap step.
