Is there a free version of Studio One?
Studio One Free is a free-to-use version of our Studio One recording software that can be used by anyone. Registration with PreSonus is now required to obtain a license for Studio One Free.
Can Studio One work on Windows?
Previous versions of Studio One may run on Windows 11, but they are not technically supported at this time. Universal Control 1.7. 6 – FireWire products will still work on Windows 10.
Can you use plugins on Studio One Free?
Hi. There is not third-party plugin support for Studio One Prime. This includes rewire, AU and VST. To get third party plugin support you need pay for the Artist version.

How do I install Studio One offline?
Launch Studio One, and navigate to the Studio One menu again. Select [Studio One Activation]. At the bottom of the Studio One activation menu, click [Activate Offline]. Then, click [Select License File…] to navigate your file browser to the USB thumb drive location where your registration file is located.

Does PreSonus work with Windows 10?
PreSonus has confirmed that all of its current software and hardware products with the latest firmware are compatible with Windows 10, including 64-bit and 32-bit versions. This includes Studio One 3, Notion 5, StudioLive AI mixers, and AudioBox interfaces.
How do I get VST on Studio One?
Windows users: From within Studio One, navigate to the Options > Locations, and select the VST Plugins tab. By default, Studio One will have C > Program Files > Vstplugins as the default location. You can also use the Add button to add custom locations.
