Pennsylvania residents renewing their driver’s license or photo ID card can do so without renewing their photo, the state Department of Transportation announced Tuesday. The agency said anyone applying for renewal after May 10 can receive their new card using their existing photo.

Visit any DMV office and bring the completed Form DL-143. Pay the required fees. Individuals who renew their driver’s license or ID beginning May 10, 2020 will receive a new product using the current photo of that individual that exists in our system. No camera cards will be issued to these individuals.
What if my camera card expires in PA?
After 60 days, the form is no longer valid as a driver’s license, but it may be taken to a Driver License Center to be processed as a valid photo license. To receive your photo license/ID card, take the Camera Card to a Driver License Center. Enclosed is a list of Driver License Center locations.
Do I still need photos for drivers license renewal?
If your license has already expired, you would need 2 black and white ID photographs for the temporary licence (optional). You can bring these along. There is also a booth at most testing stations that will take the photographs for you.
